What Is HotkeyNet? HotkeyNet is free multiboxing software. It's a hotkey program for gamers who play several characters at the same time. It lets you control several programs on your network from any keyboard no matter which PCs the programs are running on.
With HotkeyNet, you can perform complex actions involving many characters with a single keystroke no matter which PCs the characters are on. Here's a simple example. You could define a hotkey that you press on computer A to perform actions on several computers simultaneously: Press a hotkey here, and a character jumps here, and another character runs here. If you want, your hotkeys can be more complex.
A keystroke can send commands to one character, two characters, or any number of them. The commands can be the same or different. You can control more than one program on each PC. You can press hotkeys on any keyboard. The same hotkey can do the same things or different things when pressed on different keyboards. A single command can tell each character to do one thing or many things. HotkeyNet is currently in early beta.
The test is public. Anyone can download the program for free and try it. To download,. For instructions,. For reference pages,. To talk to other beta testers in the forum,.
Download HotkeyNet build 210 Requires Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. Does HotkeyNet work with multiple copies of a game on a single PC?
HotkeyNet doesn't care which PCs the games are on or how many copies are running, so it works just as well on a single PC as it does with large numbers of PCs. Who is HotkeyNet For? HotkeyNet was written especially for multiloggers and dual-boxers — for people who play several instances of a computer game at the same time. But it works with all kinds of programs, not just games. So anybody can use it to control multiple computers on a network. It's good for more than just multilogging and dual-boxing. HotkeyNet's main screen.

Hi Forums, my name is Matt. I've had some mates RAF, but failed. Because they either, quit because the didn't find time for WoW. Or they were too slow to complete the RAF that would give me that mount! So I was thinking of buying a second account through RAF.
And it struck me when I met this Multi-Boxer in Trade. So I was thinking I should Dual Box since I'd get a 2nd account (originally for the mount). But meh, can't find another mate that hasn't played WoW to RAF. Now I'm thinking of what class or class combo to dual box with. I'm most likely gonna pvp and pve in the end. What are your thoughts on this?
The vast majority of Dual-boxers I've seen and heard of, play multiples of the same ranged DPS class. I think this is because you don't have to individually manage positioning and such things like you'd have to with melee classes. With ranged, all you'd need is LoS on the target. Note: Dual-boxing in PvE end-game with a group of other people isn't likely to end well because of all the boss mechanics and intricacies that could be very difficult to deal with when you have 2 characters to worry about in their positioning and dodging of fireballs and such. Not to mention if your 'lead' character gets hit by those random-target fears, mind controls, or gets hit with an 'instant death' hit, then you also lose control of your 2nd character for a few seconds while you switch the controls around.
In those few seconds, your 2nd character could easily die too, then the group is left with only 1 DPS to beat the enrage timers. In a Battleground setting (though sometimes annoying to your teammates), such things are less of an issue because in PvP people are constantly dying and being resurrected anyway, and there's no enrage times to beat. There are programs to help with Multi boxing. But remember your may be taxing your computer. The more programs you have up the faster your CPU needs to be and the more Ram you will need to have on the mother board. Classes I have seen Mult boxed are your ranged DPS Mages, Elemental Shammy, Booom Druid, and Hunters.
Dual Boxing Programs L22c
I have not seen Warlocks used as I think their rotation priorities make it more difficult to use for Muliti Boxing Frankly I do not like to do it though I can, I have more than one account and I have more than one computer than can play wow. I just find leveling the same character with the same gear to 85 boring. You can not duel box two seperate classes, not effectively.
You can have a higher level say 85 run a lower level through instances.where you control and kill everything with the 85 and then loot with the lowlevel. But you can not play them at the same time. As their rotations are not the same. You can not duel box two seperate classes, not effectively. You can not play them at the same time. As their rotations are not the same I'm sorry, but this really isn't true.
It's definitely more challenging, but dual-boxing - even one class - is more effective when you bind your rotation into a macro. By doing this for each class, it's perfectly easy to one-button your way through most encounters. Heck, the one-button macro is useful even if you don't multi-box. Check out and read some of the starter articles. 12:01 AMPosted by is more effective when you bind your rotation into a macro. Yeah cast sequence macros for rotations really aren't that useful. 12:01 AMPosted by You can not duel box two seperate classes, not effectively. You can not play them at the same time.

In fact all the Duel boxxers I have come across and I have been playing for 7 y rs are duel boxxing with the same class. So that in and of itself says something. I am not saying you can not do it with more than one class, just you will not be very good. There was a group of Shaman guy was 5 boxing on them. He virtually Won the BG for his faction mainly because no one could get close to the lead toon to even kill it. Without getting nearly destroyed by all the totems and the 4 other toons. It took a concerted effort of a few players working together to kill him.
So I stand by what I said. It is best to use the same class to Multi- Box with. Now this does not take into account the players Computer set up.The More programs you have running the more ram you will need and the faster your processor will need to be. And while WoW is not graphically intense, if you are having to run multi video Screens you will need a More powerfull Video card and likely more than one.
I guess you could use one screen but Min/Maxing more than two programs can be a real pain and a big time consumer. I use two screens at my job and they are going to be giving us a third just to make the job easier and more effiecent. Just click follow. Have 2nd class as healer.
Quest ur heart out. 6 days raf heirloomed chr 1-85 and a free priest lvl 80 on 2nd account yea but questing is so easy my friend came in with no BoA gear, just joined a level 25 guild and went from 1-85 in 1 week. And it was his first time playing WoW. But then again he has played a variety of other MMO's so maybe that helped.
I know when I started in BC getting to 70 seemed like an eternity. It was fun but took forever (mainly because I was running a leveling guild and got too busy helping others level to work on my own toon:D a friend took pity on me and we grinded the last two levels in one long marathon night. I hit level 70 at 5am in the morning).
03:45 AMPosted by If you're just doing it for the mount you can make whatever you want. I'd prob try and select one tank capable class to make for some fast dungeons though. Once you hit 80 you can upgrade to mop or do an account transfer of Amy toons you Lvld. Also you can combine accounts and have 2 keys on the same account (friends see it that way too) Timestamps are your friend.
In the four months since he posted, I'd imagine the OP has resolved his question and won't be returning to this thread. It would require you to be real good at switching between windows or PCs to keep up a rotation. The recommendation for two of the same class is because there are ways to have one keyboard /mouse control both characters having them do the same thing at the same time. Much easier to control. Please don't try this in groups, you probably wouldn't be able to hold up your end.
Please also refrain from necroing 2.5 year old threads. The game changes a lot and we want to keep the old information on the back pages where it won't confuse people.
Won't get me banned.:-)That part is less dependent on the specific software you use and more dependent on how you use it. The features that allow multicasting software to work are intrinsically capable of violating Blizzard's automation clauses. It is your responsibility to know those clauses and not use the software in ways that violate those clauses. However, most of the informational sites about multi-boxing will tell you what not to do. The important guidelines are: If you issue one keypress/mouseclick, each game client receives no more than one keypress/mouseclick.
Modifying a keypress (setting up a button to issue a shift+f1 event on a single keypress, for example) is acceptable; but sending sequential kepresses/clicks is not. The distinction has to do with what specifically constitutes single/multiple hardware events (modifier keys are not considered discrete hardware events in this context).
You are also not allowed to set your software up to issue any hardware events without you issuing an actual hardware event (you cannot set it to press a button every 5 minutes to keep you from logging out, for example), whether or not you are triggering a protected function with that event. This is because requiring a hardware event is oen of Blizzard's methods for preventing automation of certain functions (spellcasting, targeting, movement, posting auctions, etc.). If you cannot automate it with an addon or macro; do not use your multiboxing software to automate it and you will be fine. 11:51 PMPosted by I wonder how people find threads like this and make this the only post in their posting history. There is a inverse correlation between posting comments and necro-ing old threads.
But, while I'm here I might as well give my two cents. I leveled almost 25 characters to 80 using RaF on a macbook air without any dual boxing software installed at all. I just created two shortcuts, one to the wow.exe file and another to the launcher. I would run both programs and command+tab (alt+tab for windows) between the two. I even got so good at doing this that I could heal an entire dungeon group (getting compliments several times on how good my healing was) and also out dps 1 or 2 of the people in my group at the same time. It doesn't take any fancy software to dual box and I would recommend anyone try it because it cuts leveling time by an insane amount.
It took me less than one month to get an entire realm full of 80's by following the pattern of leveling a pair of 80's and then leveling another set to 41 to grant the remaining 39 levels. My average leveling time to 80 was 24 hours of /played time and it took me around 8 hours to get to level 41. The best part of this?
• • Designed to simulate multiple scenarios. Solidworks 2014 free download full version 64 bit kickass. • • Access to social collaboration and data management tools available online on the platform 3 DEXPERIENCE.
Wotlk is essentially free if you buy the battle chest (which is marked down to $10 now) and I bought it during the Christmas special, so the grand total I paid for all these level 80's was $5. Just my two cents. Thank you for all of the helpful tips and hints on dual boxing. All y'alls advise really helped me. I recently did the RAF option and I'm currently just dual Boxing using the helium addon and macros which remarkably work well.
I have already finished leveling a disc priest and tank druid to level 69 as heals and tank while running dungeons. I read a post some where how some one did tank and heals while dungeon running and it intrigued me, so i thought I'd try it. It is very fun and I leveled the 2 toons to 69 in roughly 3 days of casual game time play. I have noticed though since I've started a different combo that the monk class is superb for tanking while dual boxing, however druid heals in combination is more challenging than when I was using my disc priest. Not sure if any of y'all run macro dual box tank heals. FYI if your running macro's and dual boxing heals and tank, you'll probably cap out near lvl 69 as the Northrend dungeons require more independent actions that make it more difficult to run both heals and tank. Let me know if yall have any other advise as to good boxing methods.
The first thing you will need to get started is some good multiboxing software. There are many different multiboxing products available, both free and not, and all of them are safe to use - there have been no bans for using multiboxing software in World of Warcraft. Some of the commercial products claim otherwise, to scare you away from their competition. What should you look for in World of Warcraft multiboxing software?.
Ease of setup. Does the software require you to make your own in-game macros for targeting, auto-following and so on? That can be very time consuming and even confusing, especially if you make multiple teams. That's because you need a different in-game macro per character! ISBoxer's Quick Setup Wizard automatically creates all of these macros for you, so you will never have to make a macro in World of Warcraft just to multibox. Ease of gameplay.
Does the software require you to learn dozens of new hotkeys for the simplest things? The closer you can get to your normal style of gameplay, the better your multiboxing experience will be. ISBoxer's Quick Setup Wizard lets you use your existing Action Bar hotkeys to make all of your characters use abilities on the same target. Does the software help you play from different characters?
If your usual 'main' dies, can you easily switch to another window and finish the fight? ISBoxer's Quick Setup Wizard automatically sets this up for you! No matter what window you play from, your toons will assist you in combat. Key Mapping. Does the software support your input devices? ISBoxer is the only multiboxing software that provides native support for alternative input devices like Logitech G-series keyboards, X-Keys keyboards and the Nostromo n52te.
That means buttons on these and other input devices can be used as hotkeys in ISBoxer without having to assign the buttons themselves to send obscure keystrokes. Can the software send a key to other windows without passing the key to the current window? Some multiboxing software such as PwnBoxer will not allow you to send a key to another window without the key you press going to the current window. ISBoxer lets you independently control each window however you like, so if you want your 'slaves' to turn while you're tanking a boss, you don't interrupt your battle!. Does the software support Round-Robin? Some multiboxing software such as PwnBoxer will not allow you to send a key to one window at a time and rotate between them.
Keyclone and ISBoxer both support Round-Robin, so you can easily have just one character at a time stun your opponents. Mouse broadcasting. Does the software broadcast mouse movements, or just clicks?
Most multiboxing software is capable of broadcasting clicks, but that's useless when you're trying to aim an AoE spell like Hurricane, Blizzard or Death and Decay. ISBoxer is the only multiboxing software that provides real-time mouse broadcasting complete with a visible cursor (and the game's targeting reticles!) in every window. Flexibility.
Does the software work for other games? Maybe you already play other games, or would like to play a different game at some point. What good is it if the software only works for one of them?
ISBoxer works for more games than any other multiboxing software, including EverQuest, EverQuest 2, EVE Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, World of Warcraft and many more!. Speed. Does the software provide instant window swapping when you switch characters? Most multiboxing software, including PwnBoxer and Keyclone, provide window swapping, but it can take precious seconds if you are in the heat of battle or in a populated area. ISBoxer is the only multiboxing software that provides swapping that is truly instant. Support. Are there forums provided by the software developer where you can get help and share ideas with other users?
While most multiboxing software officially uses a generic multiboxing site like, ISBoxer provides on, to offer help and ideas on a wide range of ISBoxer features. Is there a chat room for fast help from the developer and other users? ISBoxer is the only multiboxing software that hosts a 24/7 that the developer is usually available in, along with dozens of other ISBoxer users. Positive reviews. From real people. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself.
By now you know I like ISBoxer, but what about everyone else? You don't need to just trust a site that claims some program is the best. Forum thread: And as for PwnBoxer? Conclusion is both the most fully featured, easiest to use and best reviewed multiboxing software on the market., and let's get you started multiboxing!
